We operate under five core objectives: 1. Support: Providing quality advice, brokerage of training and other services to our members and the wider Voluntary and Community Sector, VCS, who work at the frontline within neighbourhoods and communities. In real terms: - Directory of Voluntary Organisations in Ipswich - Facility sharing, e.g. IT, photocopying, etc - Funding and Development Advice - ICVS Meeting Room in the centre of Ipswich 2. Development: identifying need, developing action, working strategically to benefit local voluntary & community sector - Health Trainers - Bows & Arrows Neighbourhood Nurseries 3. Liaison: Maintaining links within the VCS, via ICVS newsletters, website, meetings and ad hoc forums. Promoting cross sector relationships with public sector organisations 4. Enabling representation: As an independent non-party political organisation, enabling the local VCS to present its views to the local authority and other public agencies 5.
